Innovative STEM Conference 2013
The Innovative STEM Foundation is proud to bring you the 5th Annual Innovative STEM Conference. This year the Innovative STEM Foundation is partnering with Morgan State University and the United States Army to make this the biggest conference yet. In addition to the 23rd Annual Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium and the 6th Annual Innovative STEM Symposium, we are continuing our middle school component to attract more students to STEM-related disciplines. We will also have our Urban STEM Roundtable that began in 2011. The Innovative STEM Foundation is committed to creating and sustaining a pipeline of students that will become this country's next generation of leading scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians. We look forward to seeing all of the students, teachers, parents, and industry partners in March 2013.
23rd Annual Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium
The Maryland Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (MD JSHS) is a regional competition conducted under the auspices of the National Junior Science & Humanities Symposia Program. The primary aims of MD JSHS are to promote research and experimentation in the sciences, engineering and mathematics at the high school level, and to publicly recognize students for outstanding achievement and effort. The major activities of MD JSHS include:
- Presentations of original research papers by high school students
- A student poster session
- Laboratory visits
- Opportunities to meet others interested in the sciences
Morgan State University is hosting the Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium for the sixth consecutive year in 2013.
6th Annual Innovative STEM Symposium
The Innovative STEM Symposium (ISS) is a new symposium conducted by the Innovative STEM Foundation. The ISS is a collegiate student research symposium included in the Innovative STEM Conference as a compliment to the high school-level MD JSHS. The ISS welcomes entries from all college students in the country.
